We are seeking a dedicated educator with expertise in social, emotional, and mental health needs to lead primary-aged learners through the summer term.
This specialist educational setting focuses on providing bespoke support to children who require a tailored approach to their learning and wellbeing. The school prides itself on fostering an inclusive environment where every pupil is empowered to overcome barriers to education.
Role Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality primary education tailored to the specific developmental needs of children with SEMH profiles.
Create and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the specialist curriculum for the remainder of the academic year.
Manage classroom dynamics effectively by utilizing proven de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour support.
Monitor and record student progress to ensure educational targets are being met within the specified timeframe.
Collaborate with the wider support team to maintain a safe and productive learning atmosphere for all students.
Essential Requirements
Hold a recognized UK teaching credential such as a PGCE or Bachelor of Education.
Demonstrate significant prior experience working within a dedicated SEMH or alternative provision environment.
Possess full Qualified Teacher Status having already successfully completed the ECT induction period.
Exhibit a profound understanding of the challenges faced by primary learners with complex emotional needs.
Provide evidence of a current Enhanced DBS check or a willingness to undergo immediate vetting.
